Necessity of fasting

In modern society, our food is overly abundant and fine, which causes over-nutrition. Accumulated over-nutrition in the body becomes toxin. Hence the incidences of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiovascular and cerebral vascular dieases, and tumors become higher and higher.

During a fast, people stop taking food, which means they also stop taking toxins. The energy normally used for digestion is saved and used to improve organ function and cleanse the toxins from the body. Hence, fasting could reduce or even eliminate the harm that these above factors could do to the human body. Fasting one to three days each month helps to clean and remove toxins from the body. As a result, organs will be toxin-free and make healthy readjustments!

Both traditional and modern medicine have proven that fasting is the most effective physiotherapy. Everyone has the potential to do fasting. As long as we grasp and practice the proper fasting methods, we can turn the potentiality into the reality.

The Arcanum of Fasting introduced here requires neither the special environmental and material preparations, nor any special academic knowledge. This method of fasting can save time, money, resources and energy, It’s beneficial to the body and the heart, safe, hightly effective, healthy, and feasible!

Effect of Fasting

Not all information and energy in human life comes from food. Much more depends on communucation, interation, and unification with universal energy. Fating can optimize the immune system, biological functions, and biological structure.

As for human beings, babies are doing fasting before they are born. Any nutrition they need is provided by their mothers. After birth, if human beings can continue to adsord energy from our mother ‘the universe’ by certain means, we will be healthy forever. The Arcanum of Fasting passed by Mr.Zeheng Wu is such a method to absorb energy from the universe.

  1. Fasting promotes harmony between body and heart. During fasting, we are in a peaceful state. Fasting can not only remove toxins out of our bodies, but also purify our hearts. It’s beneficial to the health of our bodies and hearts. It is the healthiest and greenest life style. The improvements caused by fasting are as follows:
  • To health: Fasting once each month can promote our physical and psychological health and prolong our lives
  • To freedom: By fasting we change our previous lifestyle and can live without three meals a day. It relieves us from the dependency on materials things, which gives us much more freedom.
  • To reduce stress: Fasting and getting rid of toxins can improve our physical health. Our mental health will be changed as well. Most peolple who do the fasting feel clearer in mind, less stressed, more sociable. Ultimately, our attitudes towards life will subtly change.
  • To attain wisdom: Fasting can build one’s will, patience and confidence. At the same time, it can bring an individual more wisdom,a better personality, a broader vision, and a better memory and intellect.
  • To purify heart: Fasting can bring purity of heart, more telepathy and inspirational thinking, clearer perception and understanding of life, nature and universe, and ultimately lead one to experience the transcendental status of the unification of the universe and humans.

2 Fasting for Charity would promote harmony among people

Fasting for charity could reduce greed for food, purify heart, and cultivate benevolence among people, and thus reduce conflicts in society. In addition, for the poor it could reduce costs of living and improve quality of life and health.

3 Furthermore, Fasting for Charity could also promote harmony between human and nature.

Fasting could directly or indirectly reduce the consumption of natural resources. If 20% of the global population fasted for one day each month, there would be one day without killing and we would be closer to ecological balance. At the same time, we could donate the saved money each month to the poor or anyone in need. It would be such a lovely world!

To summarize, fasting for charity is beneficial to people, society, and nature, and without harmful consequences. All creatures and plants have one origin and one root, will they survive or perish? It’s only through self-redemption that we can be saved! Fasting for charity is about each and every one of us! It’s not limited to certain religious or ideologies. Overall, human beings will be elevated to a higher level of existence.

Arcanum of Fasting

For the beginners, the period of fasting can be one day, three days or six days (six days are the longest, no more than that). People don’t feel hunger during the fasting period. Instead, they tend to feel healthier. More specifically, thin peolple may gain weight and overweight people may lose weight during the process. The reason behind is that the human body can adjust itself during the fasting period in a way that body and heart tend to regain their natural balance. The unique method is as follows:

  1. Stand still, keep both hands in Vairocana Mudra. Recite Vairocana Heart Mantra 3 times.Ang shi wa ni hong bi ben ni lou
  2. Keep your feet parallel like the number ‘11’, and shoulder width apart, and put your hands naturally on the sides of your body with palms facing each other.
  3. Lift up your arms slowly to shoulder height. At the same time, breathe in deeply through your nose and imagine that Qi is being lifted up from the Yongquan (涌泉穴) points.
  4. Next, continue to inhale, stretching out the arms horizontally to the side of your body and extending the chest and abdomen. Please inhale fully until you can inhale no more, then hold your breath for a moment.
  5. Breathe out through your month and simultaneously pull your arms slowly together until they are parallel. Turn your palms downwards, then drop your arms naturally. Don’t visualize anything while exhaling.
  6. It should be emphasized that you should concentrate on the Yongquan points while inhaling. You should breathe in very slowly, until your body is full. Please repeat this set of movements six times. If you do it properly, after the sixth repetition you will sweat and feel warm. Your circulation of Qi and blood will be improved, and you will feel energetic and refreshed. Your hunger will disappear after it.Note: The Yongqaun point is located on the sole of the foot, at the indentation near the front, between the second and third metatarsal bones, one-third of the distance from the webs of the toes to the heel (see the pic below). After the movements, keep your hands as Vairocana Mudra. Recite ‘Vairocana Abhisecana Mantra (part 3)’ once:Mo duo wa mi di lan di                        rui wa mo ruo boShi ni suo lu na lou ong hong                       duo po jie

    Bo fu lou nei ye

The fasting days are always the day before the full moon, the day of the full moon, and the day after the full moon. If you would like to do fasting for 6 days, please cover the 3 days mentioned above within the 6 days.

  7. When you resume eating after the fasting period, your meals on the first day of resuming eating should be light and easy to digest (don’t eat too much). Congee or vegetables are ideal. Meat and fish should be avoided.
